My little thanks.

Although my friends and Instagram followers have no knowledge about this little blog of mine. I just wanted to write a little note to them.

This healthy lifestyle change and this fitness journey has been amazing, fun and equally tough and at times mentally frustrating. But, I believe that it was worth it all in the end. To the girls who tell me "Wow", "You're my inspiration", "You are so motivating" ...did you know your compliments and kind words also add to this little fuel of mine? Thank you pushing me that little bit further. I can only hope that you manage to draw your own light and path.

It feels rewarding to know that, even my little journey has shed some sort of positivity amongst you. Keep fighting and striving for your goals, whatever they may be.

But you know, I owe the biggest thanks to my dear fiancé.

Thank you.

May 19, 2014 | Six and a half year anniversary

Yoohoo~ big summer blowout!

May 19th marked Bach and I's six and a half year anniversary and he took us, meaning Yuka as well, out to eat at a steakhouse called Squire's Loft. Oh my glob, it was amazing! I ordered the ribs, he had a steak and Yuka had a waguy beef burger. Pretty sure we all got fat.
OOTD plus Yuka thought it was hilarious I was holding a banana..
There's a few branches around Melboure, if you ever get to the chance, definitely go try it. Worth the money! We went to the branch out in the Docklands, the service was incredibly friendly, professional and our waiter sure knew how to troll and muck around with us. It was fun and oh, we got engaged ;)
Our rings
Yes, I bought him a ring too. I know culturally, it isn't significant for a male to wear an engagement ring but honestly I thought it was fair for my partner to have a ring to signify that he was also taken. Funny enough, he was actually more fussy about his ring than I was with mine!

Every girlfriend at work asked: How did he propose? Firstly, no. It wasn't romantic. My fiancé is ANYTHING but romantic. Seriously, he actually never asked me out. So technically we aren't dating...and I scored a free ring teehee. He pulled out the ring and asked "is that a yes?" only because I knew it was going to happen that day.

I was happy to accept due to the fact that we had been discussing this milestone for a long while. I got home and showed my parents, they were expecting the news at some point in the year as well. Everyone's excited and asking when the date it and I tell everyone "Maybe in 10 years" they get a big shock and my joking reason is "it took me six and half years to earn this ring, I'll probably wait another decade to walk down the aisle"

Yuka's visit

Loves her veggies
May came around and it all happened so fast! My baby and bestie from Japan, Yuka, came by to visit for a good month.

It was great having her company here and as usual, she had so many ridiculous random antics and it was always great fun to have her around. Also I managed to organise for her to meet my gorgeous friend, Julie. It was hilarious. They actually hit it off and started abusing me..all in the vicinity of Ikea as well.

We also managed to organise a BBQ and lunch meet-ups with a few other friends she had met in the past times that she was here.

Yuka, Adrienne and me
We were actually quite busy with our workload and the time to our holiday was drawing closer so it was difficult to spend a lot of time with her. However, we managed to travel to the Great Ocean Road. The GOR is a beautiful landmark of Victoria's coastline. The main attraction is the Twelve Apostles but due to the weather and natural corrosion there's only a few apostles left. It's worth a visit if you have the time to drive up. If you are coming from Melbourne or further, it will literally take up the entire day!

We also took her to the Peninsula Hot Springs for a night visit. I was a little misled with the photos of the "night time" visit with spectacular illuminated lighting but that aside, the visit was quite amazing. The heat from the hot springs, the relaxed atmosphere and the nature side of things made the hot springs a very fun and pleasant visit. Definitely recommend it!
Oh and she met my niece. Safe to say, they got along pretty darn well!

Mallacoota trip

Girl's group selfie + John and Bach
I really am a lousy blogger, aren't I? Then again, I don't really have much of a readership so it doesn't bother me. As always, I've been keeping busy. Let me tell you, a lot has happened since March. So much that I really am that lazy to be bothered blogging about it. Again, I microblog on my tumblr and Instagram.

I went on an easter road trip down to Mallacoota with a couple of friends. Us girls were really lazy and stayed back in the apartment/units and socialised while the boys went out fishing. On the last day, we decided to venture out on the fishing boat and caught like 9 fishes as opposed to the boys who caught that amount in three days haha winning!

Largest flathead!
We were always eating
My first pinky!
Selfies with Alicia
Bach's grand catch
Alicia's awesome catch
Tom and Alicia antics
Our entire catch!
Overall, it was an amazing and fun trip. The only thing I found annoying was the six-hour drive up to Mallcoota. But it was the second year in a row since going and we've always managed a great catch and this time round we had more friends tag along.

I think we plan to go again towards the end of the year and I hope we do!

25 March 2014

I took a day off work to rest up a bit since my body is fatigue, unwell and sore for various reason aside from the gym. I thought I might as well update my blog. It's been busy here and there, I haven't been able to make myself blog. I actually do microblogging on my personal tumblr.

But anyway, here's what's been kinda happening in the last couple of months:
The boyfriend surprised me with a bouquet of roses on Valentine's day. You seriously do not understand how shocked I was. Bach isn't good with surprises and I honestly never expect anything from that guy LOL But it totally made my day and the card was honestly the cherry on top hahaha

G2 Korean BBQ: 301 Elizabeth St, Melbourne VIC 3000
We had a catch up dinner in the CBD with friends and decided on some KBBQ. Luckily I have been craving it. I had never been to G2 Korean BBQ before and I thought it was beautiful. The setting and atmosphere of the restaurant was very warm and welcoming and I loved the fact that their BBQ was an actual coal BBQ like in Korea rather than a grill.
The staff were very accommodating, spoke very decent English and the fact that they help cook and cut your meat is a mega plus. If you're craving any KBBQ and are in the CBD I do recommend this place for lunch or dinner. Very filling and the desserts were amaze balls.

China Bar Signature

The week after we had a surprise birthday dinner for our friend Tom. His girlfriend organised a dinner at China Bar Signature. I come here at least once or twice a year for a birthday and the food doesn't really ever disappoint. I couldn't stop eating all of the salmon sushi!
The only bone I have to pick with China Bar is the price of the buffet. I honestly can never eat my money's worth. I'm pretty useless at a buffet, I literally struggled to eat my second plate full of food =__=" But it was delish and all great fun with great friends.

Melbourne's Future Music Festival!
I was really looking forward to FMF this year because my gorgeous cousin was going to be there. I had hoped to party with her but that plan failed since my phone couldn't get any reception BUT we were lucky to cross paths!
Sadly, it didn't live up to my expectations as it did last year. I had fun but I was so sleep deprived that I had a hard time getting into the mood. Surely, FMF14 will be the last trance event I go to. But it was fun being in company of friends :)

To end this bland blog post is an Outfit of the day! I recently went to Valleygirl and the mustard crop knit caught my attention and I seriously couldn't pass on it. I browsed the store in hopes of finding a pair of faux leather pants and I was stoked to find 2 pairs left, only in size 8 (US4). I was really hesitant because the size 8s looked puny and I still think I'm ka-plonk. But I thought to myself that I should have to try it on just to see. VOILA!! What do you think? I likey. My hard work is paying off ^___^

Anyways, I'm so exhausted and gonna go back into my cave and rest. Until next time blog.
