Semi-exciting news.

Hola friends,
Back in 2011 eating Ramen in Osaka
As you should know, its been over six years since Bach and I have been together. While I was away in the United States the boyfriend was texting me and trying to comfort me. We got onto the topic of him buying me something because I usually have a bad habit of asking for things when I'm not in a great mood.

I asked him for a handbag as a gift since I was becoming stressed about buying things for myself. He then proceeded to ask me:
That was the shocking part. He actually asked me if I wanted a ring and yes, he meant an engagement ring.
And if you didn't know, my boyfriend is not even close to being romantic...at all. I don't even think 'romance' exists in his vocabulary. We're just weird. Weird is the definition of our romance. So surprise! I have the potential to be getting engaged next year.

I've been browsing Google images lately for potential ring settings and designs whilst trying to learn about the diamond stones etc. Just the other day I went into a shop in Springvale while out and about with my parents and instantly fell in love with a halo ring design.
My mum suggested that I don't get a simple design where it's just a plain band with a stone. She suggested the idea with smaller diamonds to compliment the bigger one and I think the halo setting was just beautiful, don't you think? And if I happened to have chosen a smaller diamond centre stone, the stones around it will make it appear larger.
Well, it is exciting news but at the same time it isn't definite. We're in the midst of discussing it but it hasn't exactly been made official. The boyfriend is waiting until March of next year to decide meanwhile I just cannot contain my excitement!!

Boyfriend's 24th Birthday

The day after my return was the boyfriend's 24th birthday. Before I left he wanted me to help organise an actual family gathering. One where my family and his family would get together over dinner because during the six years we have been dating, our families have never sat down together. There have been times where we've been out and about meeting each particular family member. I thought it was a brilliant and meaningful idea. I'm even surprised that it came from him LOL

Given the fact we had a few days to decide a book in a place to eat. We decided on a buffet style restaurant since that would be the best option. We settled on going to Xiang Ju Hot Pot House in Glen Waverley. We all had a wonderful time, sharing some expensive Remy Cognac and everyone's tummies got filled...all on Bach and my expense. Lucky family.

It was a perfect gathering and it felt heart-warming that even though our families did have trouble communicating with each other, we still had a great time in each other's company!

My mini visit to Tucson, Arizona.

Hey guys,
Massive Cactus in Tucson
What's up? I've been MIA yet again but all within good reason. Yes, I've been obsessing over the gym. Then I got ill for two weeks. Then it's been really hectic at work where I've been doing overtime everyday and still tried to fit in gym sessions. My six year anniversary came up. Then I flew out to the United States to meet my bestie, Sophia. Then I came home, celebrated Bach's birthday and went straight back into work and gym. Yep, that's everything in a nutshell.

I had so much fun in the States. Really, words could never describe the experience. Meeting Sophia for the first time, and yes I've known her online for over three years and we text literally everyday. So, one day it was bound to happen. I didn't exactly do much whilst over there, however the sole purpose of the trip was to meet her and spend time with her. Check and done! The funniest thing that was most intriguing to me was the fact that they had Cactus...almost everywhere. Where I live in a suburban city area whilst Tucson, Arizona is a desert state. The difference in scenery was awesome to see.
I was most definitely in a culture shock when it came to meeting and living with Mexican people. They're extremely polite people, very warm, welcoming and treat their guests with utmost respect and generosity. The men are very gentleman-like which made me feel uneasy. It's usually a custom for them to open the door for the women. This one time I actually raced Rafael to the car just because I didn't want to trouble him to open the car door for me. Fail attempt and he'd grease me off LOL sorry, I'm usually independent and wear my own pants, even for the boyfriend sometimes.

I managed to drop by a museum...to which I forgot the name of. However, it was really interesting because it was full of preserved animals. We were allowed to touch them and get close without worrying about getting eaten.
How often do you get to stand beneath a giraffe?

The day after I met her beloved cousin Aimee and we went to explore the Botanical gardens and played with the butterflies. It's a lot smaller than the one at the Melbourne Zoo's Butterfly house, however I managed to get better pictures of butterflies!

We also managed to stop by Las Vegas for four days and three nights. Vegas is amazing. The nightlife is boss, however I didn't get a chance to go clubbing or to a bar. Those aren't exactly my thing unless it's an important event. But I adored the fact that everything was open till late, everyday. Australia doesn't even compare to late hours anywhere in the world.
My view from my hotel room!!
This only vaguely captures the beauty of Las Vegas.

Fine dining at Gordon Ramsay Steak - Paris Las Vegas
The hotels on The Strip were extremely beautiful and breathtaking. I was lucky to score a hotel and flight deal which allowed me to stay in Paris Las Vegas, which is situated on The Strip and directly across The Bellagio. The shopping, I favoured Planet Hollywood's Miracle Mile Shops because they were more of my price range but they do have the well-known big brands available at most of the lavishly looking hotels.
Sippin' on a Daiquiri!
Oh, I also got to experience something most people don't get to. I met her parents who live about a 15 minute drive from the US/Mexican Border. I wasn't too keen on crossing over to visit...that was until they told me I could go and sit on a 'burro' which was a donkey. Yep, that was the selling point for me. I wanted to cross the border just so I could sit on a donkey.

That metal fence is the border!
I was also taken to try out some Mexican cuisines. I've never tried Guacomole but dang, that was delicious! Tacos, burritos, churros, enchiladas, chipotle chicken...so many things that I enjoyed I barely even remember their names!

Overall my two week trip came to a quick end. It was heaps fun and I promised that I would definitely return to show Bach these amazingly kind-hearted and beautiful people whom I can now call my American family. I want to be able to show him that Tucson is a beautiful city, though it may just be a desert it holds a lot more value to me than Las Vegas did.

Thank you for an awesome time Sophia and I'm glad that you really weren't a man when I walked down the stairs LOL. I promise that I'll be back!!

You might think I was crazy traveling halfway across the world to meet a complete stranger. Maybe I was crazy but I'm not stupid. I have my limitations, boundaries and precautions with my online friends and most people, I am sceptical of. But so far, I've met the right people and most of my close friends were via the internet.

Really spoilt rotten.

Okay, so maybe the title is a little exaggerated but I really did get spoilt this month by the boyfriend. At the beginning of the month he finally allowed me to get my navel pierced. I had probably been nagging too much and he finally gave in to me. Sorry boyfriend, I love you and will continue to work to maintain a great body for you! Teehee
To make up for my absence because I have become a gym junkie, I did go to a dress-up party. My niece loves me so much that she wanted to dress just like me. We dressed up as Street Fighter's Chun Li ...if you couldn't tell.

So, as you may know I have been doing this diet & training probably since July-ish. That is as far as my progress pictures record. But in short, since July I have lost 10kg (22lbs). (Well as of the 23rd of October, I am now at an 11kg loss yeaaaah baby!) As promised by the boyfriend for reaching my first milestone goal and also my utmost commitment to go to the gym...he has bought me a handbag that I have been wanting for a long, long while now. So without further ado...tada!
This is my brand spanking new baby, the MCM Candy Bag in Pink. Fresh from South Korea with much love and many thanks to YunJi Unni for helping purchase and sending it over. It is super beautiful, don't you think?

In all honesty, I was a bit underwhelmed as I unwrapped it. The pink was a bit too vibrant for my liking. But the more that I look at it, the more I fall in love with it. The leather definitely is a bit hard but  beautiful quality that helps it keep its box-like shape and moreover I love the size of this bag along with a great length for a cross-body look. Very versatile for a girl like me who rarely carries anything beyond my purse, phone and keys. Price wise; online it is priced at 595,000KRW (approx. $600AUD). I know it isn't a Prada or Louis Vuitton but for me to own a bag this pricey already makes me feel so bad to the special man who bought it for me. And the reason I chose MCM was because it isn't even available anywhere in Australia which makes me feel more special! But I will definitely cherish it and use it well!! Thank you baby <3

In case you want to see the result of my efforts. Quite embarrassing to show however my friends through Instagram have been showing me amazing comfort and support. It still irks me though.
Another tada! Is there a difference? I honestly am someone who looks at myself in the mirror every single day. It's still hard for me to see a difference in my body shape and size and the only way I can tell is through taking progress pictures regularly. This comparison is still quite a major shock to me and I am still in disbelief.
My navel piercing!
I used to think weight loss was impossible. I always gave up. I always accepted things the way they were and never bothered to properly try or work for something. Since learning more about weight loss, fitness and having an amazingly supportive boyfriend, brother, cousin and my dear bestie, Sophia. I have grown to enjoy this kind of lifestyle.

I can't exactly say that I am fit. I really wish I had an amazeball body but I'm learning to be happy and learning to love it more. I'm still thoroughly unsatisfied. I'm still learning and growing each and every day. I will continue to strive and work hard to earn what I desire. Right now, I still feel like my journey is just beginning.

Toodle~loo!

Unexpected goodness

September has finally ended and it's already mid-October. Seriously, I have no life. Get home from work and go gym. Afterwards I play with Chelsea because all she likes to do is scream at me, drool on me and pull my hair. It's tough love but you know, "if it's not rough it isn't fun" -Lady Gaga's Poker Face teehee

I went to a wedding the last time I posted. I didn't know anyone from the bridal party. All I knew it was Bach's soccer friend that was getting married and he dragged me along. The biggest irony was I ended up sitting on the exact same table as my eldest cousin. Seriously, major wtf.
Then looked over my shoulder and saw my bestie, Cong, from high school. Even more wtf LOL guess it is a small world. I ended up drinking and getting tipsy...at a wedding party where I supposedly knew no one. It turned out into a great night and I was really happy to be reunited with Cong and formally meet his girlfriend!
My fav picture of the night LOL
When October came around, I had this trance event where DJ Sander Van Doorn came to play a set in Melbourne. My day was good. Then it went shit and everything bad was just thrown at me and I was literally in tears as we drove to the venue. It wasn't bad just Bach came home moody, made me feel hideous and was angry at me for no good reason. At this point I didn't want to go etc. The moment we settled and had a few drinks, things turned out for the better. Alcoholic drinks make me wayyy too happy but Sander Van Doorn was pretty sick. He went pretty hard with his set and I loved it that I could barely sit down. That amazeballs.

That was my eye makeup for the night. I attempted something out of my comfort zone and loved it.
Overall look
Oh I've already reached my first weight loss goal. Goodbye 10kgs! I'm extremely happy but as always, very unsatisfied with my current body results. Still plenty of fat to lose and I've already set two more goals of 5kgs. So, hopefully and eventually I can drop further and look more fit and toned. Anyways maybe next time I'll post up result pictures since I feel so bloated these days. Ciao and be safe~

We rarely have a nice photo together.

Oh yeah. Chachi has just hit eight months and this is literally her reaction whenever I happen to walk into the room. She can't stop smiling at me. Not sure why but it is the cutest.
