High Tea for Classy Ladies / Kimu's 23rd Birthday

Ayo wassurrrp?

Saturday's MOTD

Very unclassy of me but I had a wonderfully busy weekend last week as I was just so caught up in reading but I managed to get out, stretch my legs and since I have time I wanted to blog about my dear friend Kimu's 23rd birthday celebrations.

Friday night she had a celebration at the Melbourne Central Lion Hotel which all friends of hers were to attend, relax and have a drink. It was fun to see everyone but unfortunately I don't have many pictures except of me and Julie camwhoring as you can witness our antics below.

Saturday afternoon the closer girlfriends to Kimu met up at Crown Casino Complex and headed towards The Waiting Room to experience Afternoon Tea. She had requested that we all get pretty and look like 'classy ladies' complimented with pearls instead of diamonds. I can assure you, we probably only looked the part but deep down inside we're just a bunch of little girls who just wanna have fun. But I gave it my best attempt to appeal and look classy :)
The restaurant was stunning and our waiter, Francisco, was the most charming man you'd ever meet!! He was so polite, friendly, humble and very accommodating since it was our first time, for some. I  loved the fact that he didn't discriminate and remained poise, professional, high class and always addressed us as "madam" and knowing it was our first time, sat by us and ran through the menu and how the restaurant runs. So excellence in service indeed.

I'm not sure what to say much in terms of food, I'll find the menu...someday and show you, but it was indeed exquisite. We munched away till our hearts content and pretty much all struggled to finish what we had on our tiers. We had a three-level tier starting with pretty much entrée, main lunch and delicious desserts complimented with our choice of tea and water :)

After lunch was served we decided to embark on a journey to corner of Bourke and Swanston street to take Purikura and check out Daiso before heading on home in the terrible rainy cold weather that encompassed us in Melbourne.
It was amazing to see the girls together again and it's always a pleasure to catch up with friends despite the gloomy weather, don't you think?

Boyfriend's graduation

Hey, what's been happening?

Well, firstly it's been an extremely busy and productive weekend for me and I can finally lay back and rest in my bed and read........yes, what an utter shock. I've been reading the Fifty Shades trilogy thanks to the ever gorgeous SparklingKer <3 I owe you lunch some time sweetie! Please don't refuse me otherwise I will go all Sadistic Christian Grey on you haha

He isn't usually this proper looking.

I've been reading diligently for the past week that I've been so MIA and ignoring the world. But once Thursday hit I was busy going to and fro the CBD. Thursday marked Bach's graduation! Yes, he's finally graduated from uni with a Bachelor of Science from The University of Melbourne and he's already huddled up against his computer and PS3 playing games nonstop. What a life. To witness this joyous moment, his parents and brothers all came together to celebrate, take photos and have dinner.

The family!
I've also heard some great news, his eldest brother will be marrying his girlfriend sometime next year and they've extended out the invitation for me to go to Vietnam with them next year for the wedding! His father is also offering to pay for my flight ticket just so the family can be together, what a sweet man!

See? He graduated into a Nun.

Received his degree!

Bach and his brothers!

Pretty hilarious, we were taking professional family photos and Bach tells the photographer that the brother on the left wasn't really his brother but some guy we found outside the room. LOL the photographer was puzzled and wasn't sure if we were being for real or not haha but all in good humour.

But I'm very proud of his achievement and efforts to complete uni. Although he will probably not follow in it career path I hope he manages to find something that he will love and pursue! Even my workmates have been asking if he was going to propose to me next year...you have no idea how hard I laughed at the idea. Not that I don't want to marry him, just not yet :)

Anyways, congratulations to my dear boyfriend!

La Saturday

Hi-ho~

I'm back again because I'm just major bored on my Sunday night.

As Saturday came around, I was up early went to eat out and visit my favourite little fatty, Florida and celebrated Polly's birthday amongst her other minion of nieces (Polly has a massive family). My little cousin had also requested that I did her hair and makeup for her formal that day D:

This is what I had to work with LOL

I was so honour but at the same time I was freaking out. No one, not in a long time...or probably EVER  has asked me to do their hair and makeup for an occasion. I was thrilled that she had trusted me enough to do it LOL I mean she has an older sister, Ravy, but I guess she was too busy to spare some time and since I was doing nothing.

BB cream + Eyeshadow

We literally sat their giggling for like 10 minutes, my cousin is a bit of a nut and an airhead. She has little knowledge of makeup so she trusted me LOL *pressure was on* and she decided that she wanted a natural makeup look that didn't look too over-the-top with false lashes and curls for her hair. So...I tried to work my magic!

And voila!
Her selca LOL
Le end result!
What do you think? She's a cutie though!

Meanwhile we were trying to organize a little family BBQ with our speciality lamb on spit roast. It's just literally a whole lamb on a spit, cooking and you just pick and eat it. It was a mixture of; birthday celebrations of Polly & Judy, welcome back for the Nguyen brothers (Bach and Bao) and because it also fell on the 100th day of my grandmother's passing. But it was just a good occasion to see the family :)

Also, welcome two new additions to my pandora bracelet!

Teehee~ that's all from me for now, I swear ^^ Hope you've all enjoyed your weekend and are able to tackle the coming week~

Friends, food and gorgeous city

What up!

How's everyone's weekend been? Mine was actually quite hectic and today happened to be the only day I was free to breathe and relax except I feel quite drained and tired from all my activities from the weekend!
Boyfriend is back <3

On Friday, my boyfriend returned from his family trip to Vietnam/Hong Kong! ...He didn't buy me anything...but he'll later make up for that nyahaha ;) He came home, napped and we went out to eat with the crew that night. Sop had made a booking at Gami Chicken on Little Lonsdale Street in the city. It's a Korean chicken restaurant and dude, it was godly amazing! Good food and awesome company always makes up for an amazing night!

The Crew!

Gami Chicken was always busy I guess, given that it was a Friday night I say better make a booking and we caught the 8:30pm session and went straight to ordering 3 trays of chicken, 2 plates of 군만두
(Gun Man Du aka Fried Dumplings), 떡볶이 (Tteok Buk Gi), and a 4L beer keg LOL

군만두

There was seven of us and I decided that I would drink beer with the boys. By the end of our meals we were all struggling to just finish the beer but we managed it!! ...then the rest of the night consisted of walking around the city to see Federation Square and...go on the hunt for toilets haha but all in all, it was a great night!

Anywho, enjoy the images of my gorgeous city, Melbourne!
